Dosti, Naukri and Chokri – 4

As they say…Love is blind…and our Vishal is now in deep love with seema..they are officially a couple…a gf-bf. He wants to share his happiness with all his buddies so he updates his Facebook a/c status to In a relationship J….also started to ignore his friends sameer and sai…..missed quite a few workout and daaru sessions (liquor sessions) with them….

One fine day at the gym Sameer and Sai wait for vishal who promised that he would show-up….in mean while Sameer and Sai talk about shitt happening at office. Sameer “Dude let me tell you a funny thing that happened at work today”…Sai who does not have much going on his life and he is excited at every single new thing he hears…. “What happened?” with an excited school kid look on his face

Sameer “Dude… during one of my smoke breaks…I was at the smoking area and I thought of calling you..so picked up my phone and I dialed your number and when the other person picked up…I said “WTF is going on homie???” and I heard someone saying “Sorry??” and I realized that it was not you..it must be someone else…I looked at the number again on my mobile and It was my Project Manager Ram “Bad breath”  sharma… I felt like my balls were in my mouth..I just said… “I’m Sorry Mr Sharma..I thought it was my friend” and he just hung u. It would be interesting to notice his reaction when we meet next time. Sai cannot control his laugh and he pulls sameer “hehehe…Oh…yeah and next time when you meet him at the office…just give him a hi-five and say… “How’s it hanging partner???”……hehhehe …and I’m pretty sure he is going to kick your balls when u meet him at work!!!”  Sameer “I don’t care anymore…he can do anything he wants to…I hate this job anyways…”

Since vishal didn’t show up on time Sai decides to wait for some more time for vishal to show-up …In meanwhile Sai wants to have some sort of conversation with Sameer..So he goes for the usual ones…Like how’s life? How’s work? How’s wife? Etc., so he asks sameer “And how are things at home??” Sameer does not give a positive and energetic answer… “Things are ok man???….could have been better….” Sameer’s answer gets sai’s attention he realizes that there is something wrong with sameer and his life…so he decides to get to the root of the situation…Sai asks sameer with a surprise look on his face “What do you mean could have been better???”…Sameer with a lazy and dejected look on his face…”you know what dude…sometimes I feel I should have been single…I should have never married!!!!!” Sai gets shock of his life “wtf is wrong with you sameer?? Wat are you saying??…did pooja say something?? Or work pressures?? ” sameer gives a diplomatic answer “Nobody said anything dude??…sometimes I feel as a normal guy it’s not possible to keep each and every one happy….or at least maintain a healthy relationships with everyone…You have to worry about Job, EMI’s, credit card bills, car expenses, project deliverables, working overtime and when you come home you have to take care of house hold stuff….it’s tough dude…really tough….It’s not like I don’t love Pooja…I love her but by marrying her I have this huge baggage of responsibility…If I was single…I would have just said…FUCK IT and took a break..From everything”…sai is shocked at sameer’s reply…he is thinking in his mind..”Wow!!! That was surprising…how come such a cool guy like sameer is so frustrated with life???…” sameer gets up and says “Well… ain’t life a bitch??”… Sai is glad that he is neither in a relationship nor married…he is just happy being single.

After receiving lot of shitt from Sai and Sameer not catching up with them vishal finally decides that he will officially Introduce his girl to the gang…so he decides to have a dinner get together at Taj Banjara….They all decide to be there around 9:00 ish..Since Sameer is gonna bring his wife pooja and vishal his new girl friend Sai Ponders upon the idea of asking someone out for a date….so he starts looking at phone numbers of all the girls in his mobile….finally he decides to call smita…Smita here is someone who initially rejected Sai’s proposal to be his girl friend…and mind you this happened when sai was in class 5…old flames are still buring strong in sai’s heart…so he calls up Smita’s home “Hello aunty…May I speak to Smita please??” Smita’s mom “Yeah…who is this??”… “this is sai pooja’s school friend” “Ok…just a second”…smita grabs the phone from her bedroom “This is smita”…”Hey smita this is sai your school friend”… “Which school are you talking about??” sai “St Xaviers”… “Are you the same sai…who proposed me and told me that you will die If I do not accept your proposal” sai “Yup…its me”…smita “Well Im glad that you are alive, so what’s going on…how did u remember me after such a long time”…sai “well I never forgot you…and today I have to go out to a party with few of my buddies and everyone is either married or has a girl friend…and I don’t have one…so I thought If you are free…may be you can be my date for the night”… smita is mad at him “So you called me after so many years and first thing you do is ask me out on date…and you didn’t even care to ask how I was doing?? Or catch up with me..ask What is going on in my life?? Am I single or in a relationship?? You haven’t changed a bit sai…” Sai tries to defend what he said…”Woooaahh…hold on there…I don’t see a point about talking bunch of bull before I got to say…what I want to say….I will simply say..What I wanted to say…and how I wanted to say and when I wanted to say”…smita is confused “What???”… Sai is pissed off at himself and he thinks…why the fuck did I have to do this… He tells “Well…never mind…just act like you never got this call for me…good bye….It was a bad idea…forget it…”….Smita “Ok…good bye”..both of them hung up and swear at each other….

Sameer and pooja arrive early at the restaurant…they go and seat at the reserved table…and within few minutes…sai is there too…Sai’s mood is obviously spoiled…after the incident with smita… Sameer enquires sai about the look on his face…sai makes a simple gesture with his hand…that he is doing fine… after 15 minutes…Vishal and seema come…Sai who is frustrated already…swears at vishal that he is late.. “Wtf dude…we have been waiting for such a long time…where the fuck you have been??”…Vishal is surprised “Chill dude…you know the traffic…It’s just 15 min…”…Everyone settles and they order first round of drinks and some tandoori chicken…the ladies order some white wine and the dudes…Heiniken…after first round of drinks…Suddenly Sai’s mobile is ringing and it’s not a number that he is familiar with…he picks up “Sai here..” the voice on the phone “Ok where is the party??”…Sai is confused as who might be asking him about the party…”Who is this??”…Voice “It’s me”…sai is still confused.. “Me who…”.. “Me smita”… sai is shocked that she is calling him “How did you get my number??”… Smita gets impatient “I will explain that later…Just tell me where is the part…I will be there”.. sai gives her the address….there is an andrenaline going through sai’s body…and he is pumped up and finishes of the remaining beer in one gulp…

Smita enters the restaurant and calls Sai…They meet…Sai and smita meet face to face after 15 years and they have this strange reaction towards each other…on phone they fought like two teenage kids..now when they meet face to face they have this mutual respect to each other like any other young adult…they exchange Hi’s and hello’s and Sai Introduces her to the gang… They all order another round of drinks…everyone catches up with their lifes…and Pooja is curious about smita and she questions her like a COP…but in a friendlier manner…

Sameer and sai…are curious about how vishal’s relationship is going on…and even vishal is curious to know how his friends liked his girl friend….Sameer “So hows it going with Seema??”…Vishal’s eyes light up with a child like face…he says “ohh she is the best dude…I love her…I think she is the best thing happened to me so far”… Sameer…”so what’s next??”…Vishal “I want to get married in few months..but somehow seema says she is not ready yet…I will met her parents within few weeks and talk to them..I have already talked o my folks…they don’t have any problem??”….Sameer is confused about what vishal is saying “So what is seema’s problem???”…Vishal “She says that we have just met…lets just get to know each other for few more months and then we can talk our parents…seems like she needs little more time..”…Sameer “Don’t worry…Everything will be alright”…Vishal turns to sai…and “You didn’t tell me that you are going with Smita..the same girl who rejected you in 5^th grade”… Sai “I’m not going out with her…I just asked her out …since ya’all gonna bring your girls…I thought I will ask someone to be my date..and their she is..” Sameer and vishal tease Sai that finally his virginity day’s are over and he could get laid with smita….sai is furious about it…

While the dudes are the smoking their guts out…the girls start talking about their guys …So seema hows it going with vishal “Ohh….he is great…the best person in my life…he loves me so much…every time when we decide to meet…he brings me flowers…and he buys lots of stuff for me…and he asks his buddies in US to buy stuff for me…you know he got this necklace from US…its 500 dollars…he bought this purse from US….he is very expressive in his love….and I like that….he is always there for me…whenever i have a shitty day at office I just call vishy and he cheers me up right away…”..Pooja is surprised that vishal could so something and immediately she compares it with sameer.. “That’s great…my guy won’t even pick-up my call…he just ignores me…Oh well…marriage changes lot of things…but we still love each other…the spark is definetly missing..” …Seema enquires about Smita… “so how do you know Sai ?? Vishal never mentioned to me about you…?”…Smita “Oh it’s a big story for another day…Me and Sai are school mates..” Pooja is surprised when she heard that “Wow…Sai never mentioned to me about you..I know him for five years…I guess you have a long story to tell..”
